Kalen Powers(she/her) is a junior UNC student studying Theatre Studies with dance and film minors.

Kalen is from Colorado Springs, CO. She started dancing at age three and has been dancing ever since.

She trained competitively in Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Contemporary, Ballet, and Hip Hop. In high school, she taught and assisted dance classes, choreographed a recital piece, and played Sarah in Seven Brides for Seven Brothers.

During the summer, she was the choreographer for an original musical, Someday in Wonderland. At UNC she is secretary of the UNC Dance Alliance and president of the Film Production Club. She just finished UNC’s dance production called Rite of Spring. Currently, she is taking classes and is a dance instructor!
